Ages 7-10:     2:00-3:00                    
Ages 11-15:  3:00-4:00            
Ages 16+:      4:00-5:00

Persons interested in the lead roles and group dances should audition on Saturday, January 15 or 22, from 11:00 to 12:45 at the Mineral Point location.

Overview

This is an original one-hour ballet based on the story by Hans Christian Andersen about a girl no bigger than a thumb and her adventures.  First, she is kidnapped by a toad family, then she is snatched by beetles, she takes refuge with a mouse only to be pursued by a mole and finally she is reunited with her mother and fairy prince.

Performances (subject to change)
Stage rehearsals are

Tues., April 5, to Thurs., April 7, 5:30-9p

Performances:   Saturday, April 9 at 11:00a, 2:00p, 5:00p and 7:30p
                          Sunday, April 10, 2:30p and 5:00p


There are many "behind-the-scenes" tasks that need volunteers.

Roles by Age – This is intended as a VERY general guide.  Much depends on costumes,  how many audition, and the needs of the ballet.

Rehearsals

Roles and scenes will be scheduled on the weekends at the audition sites.  Rehearsals on Saturdays will be held at 251 High Street in Mineral Point.  Sunday rehearsals will be in Platteville at 70 North Oak Street. 

Roles

Roles will be scheduled for an hour on the weekends for the first month and thereafter as needed to ensure the performers know and are comfortable with their choreography.

Scenes

Scenes will be scheduled in two hour periods, but this will be adjusted as needed by the performers.
